So be carefull!!!!!! The solution you thought of yourself seems the most preferable to me. If anything helps for a start then it's turning your decks with the pitch-control at the top-side. Scratching works better that way to as you probably already knew. (what a rhyme ). It's just a bit awkward to mix and control your pitch, with th risk of bumpin' into the arm with horrible effects. Just have fun and maybe tou're the inventor of somethin' revolutionary that way...
