I've started the negotiations with the colo host.

There are two minor complications at this time:
- they require signed contracts on paper, I hope they agree that I can fax them so we don't lose valuable time waiting for the contracts to arrive via snail mail.
- they require me to pay a full year in advance. This is a bit unexpected since they advertise a monthly fee on their site, but since I'm a foreign customer I'll have to pay one year in advance. I do have the cash atm luckily, but when I pay that I'll be in deep shit financially for the rest of the summer Frown

Good points are:
- Since I'm a foreign customer I don't have to pay VAT. I hope they agree with the price of 37€/month ex VAT. That would be such an improvement over the old price of 150€/month! The google ads revenue would cover that price more or less, leaving practically no cost for me to run the server. Yay Big Grin

No chance of a reduction, they're tough negotiators, their price offer is €44/month ex VAT. Still OK price though Big Grin

The loan has been accepted, actually I get a cash credit which is some kind of a flexible loan Bigup

The bank needs one week to sort it out though. I will have to postpone the move for one week at least. I have a full week off the first week of August, that would be ideal!
