Its where the DJ will "drop" ur tune in a club so to speak. So really this is the part where all ur main elements are going full out - drums, bass primarily ofcourse just build up the tension with an intro and a small breakdown section, build it up and POW. make sure its the loudest part of the tune as well as this is where the most impact is needed

hopefully that answers ur question? Big Grin

Before the drop you'll have the intro which is there to:
- build up the atmosphere
- deliver some rhythm so the DJ can mix the tune into the previous one
(not all intros contain beats, some tunes can't be beatmatched)

When the tune drops the DJ will normally pull the previous record out of the mix and the tune that just dropped has the main focus.

It's a bit like sex: intro = forplay, drop = the real deal Big Grin

For ease of DJ handling and for dancing crowd to go wild it is a good idea to have some buildup that makes clear when the tune will actually drop.
You can test this by dancing (or nodding your head) to your own tune and see if it "works".

Then there's a breakdown which is there to pause the whole thing a bit and prepare for the second round of dropping. If you really want to kill your audience you make the second drop heavier (bigger buildup, extra elements to the main part).
