Registration Date: 30-12-2005 Posts: 6,413 Helpfulness rating:  I guess everyone noticed the new Apple tablet called iPad. the downsides: - No USB - No HDMI out - No 16:9 (movies will have black banners) - No camera - only applications from the app store - it's too big to carry around - no real keyboard (unless you get it extra) - no multitasking - no Flash - ... the upsides: - the price is ok - long battery life - it's thin and light - it's an iPod with a big screen - Wifi & 3G - reading e-books and other content will be cool - Apple will work hard to have good software for it -... Yep. Would I use my hard earned cash to buy one? No. I just wouldn't have enough use for it. It does sound very nice, although there's probably only a small market for this type of product so I wouldn't expect huge sales for a long time. It's more like an oversized iPod touch because you can't even make phonecalls with it. It might be a good machine in handling and software, but except for ebook reading I don't see any use for it in my everyday life. I have an iPod touch and that is good enough to watch videos/play music/play some games/read Gmail/watch this site/etc, I don't need a huge screen to do all that. And the one thing that really bothers me is Flash support or better the lack thereof.
