Midi help please! Reply to this Post Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Posts Report Post to a Moderator       Go to the top of this page

Hey guys, I just got hold of a 'CommoDore MK-10' midi keyboard and Ive also bought a 'Mistar Midilink' (Midi to USB). Im having difficulties getting it to show up in Reason and Fruity, when i plugged it in it installed a driver named 'TaHorng Musical Instrument'. The driver is fine however i cannot get it to show up in any programs. Help would be very appreciated!

Cheers, Justin.

try to delete that dedicated driver, and let windows have that device recognised as a 'standard system device'
i had something similar with a BCR2000, using the dedicated drivers resulted in errors , having windows deciding what drivers to use CAN sometimes help.

in reason, go to preferences, in prefs, go to control surfaces, and add your keyb. to the list, if you don't find the exact driver or controller, pick a similar one or a generic remote, that way, reason will know there is a controller keyboard somewhere

don't know if you're going through usb, or the midi port of your soundcard. when using outboard midi, be sure to enable midi IN in reason ...

dunno bout FL tho
