i dont fully understand how you wanna do it with the stabs and the drum loops but you should be fine.

you can similar sound with nearly every synthesizer. i guess the first sound is a layer of two, with different filter envelopes. deep frequencies with a lopass and somthing higher with hipass maybe. some reverb on it and distortion with a distortion plugin like camelphat.

the second is not much different. short played notes with different interval at the end, layerd with some rimshot like shuffle drums maybe.

experiment with different layers and you'll get some of the craziest sounds

And that is the thing I cant get right.. I cant get that typical feel. I know you have to practice with it but I've been practicing for about 4 months now and I still cant get the right feel.. So I wanted to ask how you guys get that typical feel in a beat. Any tips, hints or tricks?

on 4/4 172bpm
kick on 1 and 3.3
snare on 2 and 4

gives you the typical dnb feel

61 or more keys are usefull if you know how to play piano or if you want to learn Tongue
like if you want to play chords and a melodie you wont come along with 25 keys...

you can controll software parameters (knobs on your software synth e.g.) with the knobs.

im goin to get the m audio axiom 61 soon...

if you just wanna trigger a few notes you'll be fine with 25
