Massive should have some lead presets close to what you want, then just tweak man!

RE: anyone using ableton?!?! 04-05-2012 21:14 Forum: Production questions & answers

Hey guys, I started using ableton but youre limited to a max of 3gb ram coz it's 32 bit, I then bought a mac pro 8 core with logic pro 9, stuck 32gb in it and I've never looked back! I can appreciate not everyone can afford it but trust me, you need a 64 bit daw like logic or cubase 6, with at least 6gb ram then you can load a lot more synth instances. Id recommend omnisphere as a synth, it's unreal. You can learn either of these daws relatively quickly, you tube is you're friend!

Love that intro loop! High passed synth before the vocal are a little sharp on the ears, Bass is a little overpowering on the drop, need more mids too. The track itself is really nice, great bass melody. Love the little piano touch too man, superb! my kinda tune for sure. keep it up mane!

Kick needs to be more present, boost around 100 and between 3-5k. This track needs a big phat anthemesque lead. Sounds like there's a lot of noise or something, nothing seems that clear. Maybe play around with the width of some tracks, seems a little narrow. But nice track overall, I did the same with my last track on the dub step shizz, have a listen! Liking this, just needs polishing.

Kick needs a boost between 40-60, snare needs it round 200-250 too.The hoover and baseline aren't in the same key, it sounds off, unless you meant to do it for a nastier feel, but it doesn't work. Usually like your stuff man but not feeling this one

Nice intro loop mane! Hats are tight as. Wasn't expecting that drop either, pretty mean. Kick and Snare needs to come up a little, doesn't really go anywhere tho, need more changes to keep it interesting, nice track overall, really could turn out well.

Probably hard core. Reminds me of The prodigy. Not into it really, nothing really original going on here. decent levels, everything sits nicely. Sorry man not my thang

Marky all over! Imma start a summery track soon! Love the intro vibe, nice drop, kick needs more down bottom, maybe a little compression on the beats overall. I would change the conga loop up a bit too. nice job overall, just needs polishing.

Love the intro not sure about the kick flurry. Beats are pretty tight. You could use a better chord between the reese and pad they don't quite fit. Vocals are pretty random but cool. Nice ideas, quite a nice vibe overall, keep it up.

Hey guys long time! I've acquired a new Mac Pro and Logic, so I've been tucked away learning the damn thing. But this is my first track in this 'new chapter'. Haven't mastered it yet, just a straight bounce from Logic. Bit darker than my usual but I hop you enjoy it. MUCH LOVE

You know my feelings are similar to battle on the snare and perc, but the track itself is fucking slick can't wait to hear it finished!

You should filter those drums in rather than fade. You might want to spend a little more time on your tracks? Maybe some white noise on your drops to give them a little more impact. But considering you made this is 5-6 hours you've done a pretty darn good job mate! nice melodies, good beats, great little break down too (2:20). You've managed to keep it interesting too. You definitely have what it takes.

BOOOM! Lovin the old skool yet wilkinsonesque vibe man! Snare needs a little boost but overall a great job. Percussion is fantastic, nice sheen on your highs, great sub too.
